TITAN SKIN PROCEDURE

The newTITAN Procedure skin tightening technology uses a unique light source (Optical Energy) to create a thermal profile in the dermis with the goal of tissue tightening of loose skin (laxity, drooping, saggy & wrinkled skin). Dr. Leiker is now doing "DUAL SKIN TIGHTENING" on all his face, neck, and abdomen skin tightening patients for the same money. We now have the StarLux IR Fractional Skin Tightening System from StarLux, both are excellent by themselves, now giving super tightening with a "dual procedure on the same day" for no added cost. Why would anyone want to go anywhere else? This is a great combo and cost efficient compared to Thermage(R)**, or any other clinic only doing Titan or IR tightening by itself.
"The View" on daytime television (June 2006 showing), they had an excellent presentation on cosmetic surgery and skin procedures and the myths, and the one constant part of each procedure shown was that you should always have a physician doing your procedures. The take away message from "The View" was that side effects were much more frequent when non-physician nurses and technicians were doing fillers, Botox, lasers, high energy sources and skin rejuvenation systems on patients. There are clinics that hide behind a "physician supervisor" who is never around and is never seen by the patient. These same clinics are constantly bad mouthing and libeling the legitimate doctor run clinics. So patients beware, and ask yourself if you ever see the doctor involved in your care where you are going to, and if not, then find a legitimate physician run clinic.
In Dr. Leiker's opinion, the TITAN procedure and Lux IR skin tightening are a much safer procedure and generally have a higher satisfaction rate than many of it's other competitors.

Be aware that there are two types of Titan procedure machines:
- Dr. Leiker has the XEO w/ TITAN™ selling for $195,000, and other offices have the much cheaper Titan Soleraâ selling for $85,000.
- XEO w/ TITAN™ runs on 220 volts, the cheaper Titan Soleraâ runs on 110 volts.
- The XEO w/ TITAN™ comes with the Genesis Skin Rejuvenation System, which our clinic often does with its Titan Skin Tightening Procedures.
- Dr. Leiker has found that the two procedures together (Titan + Genesis OR Lux IR) can provide a superior end result for the skin. The Titan Solera cannot perform the Genesis procedure or the Lux IR procedure.
- Further, we are now doing "dual skin tightening" by adding on the Lux IR Fractional from StarLux** on the same day, to get a bonus skin tightening procedure.
TheTitan Procedure AND Lux IR Fractional can cause collagen to contract and thus tighten the skin. The Genesis procedure reaches deep into the dermis to stimulate new collagen formation and target the microvasculature. In our own clinical patients, Dr. Leiker has seen the Genesis and Titan procedure combinations reduce fine lines and wrinkles and add to the skin tightening effect. Further, XEO w/ TITAN™ (our clinics laser) can perform “three dimensional skin rejuvenation, other systems will not.”

Research suggests the thermal effect creates tissue tightening by remodeling of collagen and elastin in the dermis, along with fibroblast formation with subsequent contraction of collagen in the dermis resulting in a “significant lift effect”.
Dr. Leiker has never seen the TITAN or LUX IR procedure injure fat or cause a burn. Competitor systems in the past have had problems with injuring fat and causing on occasion a depression in the skin. You can review complaints about competitor systems online with a search of the name of the competitor along with "side effects" or "adverse reactions".
Do your own search on "competitor systems", place the "name of the system" or company into Yahoo or Google searches, add the term "side effects" and put "message boards or forums" and read the comments.
