Portrait® is not a laser or light treatment but uses thermal energy derived from Nitrogen. PATIENT NOTICE

The company that sells Portrait® PSR only sells this machine to physicians (not to technicians, nurses, or physician assistants). Therefore, it is imperative in our opinion that you have only a physician perform this procedure. Please do not let unqualified medical personnel perform this procedure on you.

Also, a clinic claiming that they have a physician supervisor is different than having a physician on-site performing your procedure and monitoring your results. If you do not see a physician working when you are at the clinic you are going to, then PATIENT BEWARE. You would be wise to quickly find a physician run laser and aesthetic clinic.

The daytime television show, "The View" blasted the non-physician run nurse and technician clinics on a past show about "cosmetic surgery" and "lunch time" procedure done without a doctor. The take away message was that there are many more side effects from non-physician run clinics and spas using "nurses and technicians" for the majority of cosmetic procedures including lasers and other high energy sources, and injectable items like fillers and botulinum toxin.
