Our lasers/pulsed light systems are among the few in the Kansas City Metro Area that can
treat ALL skin types for hair removal, including ethnic skin types and
are amazingly comfortable. We keep up with the newest and most effective
technology to protect pigmented skin. By the way, the FDA only allows
the term "permanent hair reduction" for any hair removal system
approved in the USA. Don't be taken in by clinics offering "packages"
or by "warranties or guarantees" that come with a much higher prices
per treatment over the life of the treatment series. Do not be
influenced by scare tactics and high pressure sale pitches. They will
often say only their equipment works better and their lasers are
better, blah, blah, blah. Do not be confused when they say lasers are
better than IPL hair removal this is a lie and they are deceiving you.
Research has shown IPL, laser, or diode systems produce very effective
hair reduction. We have both laser and IPL systems, but in our opinion
the newer PALOMAR ICON AESTHETIC SYSTEM from Palomar Medical way outperforms anything we have ever
seen. They will say if you sign this package today we will give you
this "extra discount", the simple truth is you are being scammed. They
want to get your money upfront with an expensive package "deal",
because they cannot compete with competitive everyday prices and new
technology systems in their franchise businesses where investors are
wanting to take home big profits. They want your money upfront because
they are afraid you will not come back after you see their results or
the pain that their equipment causes, or they will need to mess with
anesthetics, or you do not like their staff "after" you paid and start
treatments. Once they have your "package money" you are stuck. We are
very confident you will love our treatments, our very comfortable and great technology PALOMAR ICON system, and will come back willingly
because of our great results with permanent hair reduction and an
excellent treating staff that are very knowledgeable, competent and
good personalities.
In
our opinion, PALOMAR ICON is a much better system for hair removal
because it is like having three lasers used at once because it puts out
several wave lengths with each pulse and a laser only puts out one wave
length with each pulse. Wave lengths for hair removal are usually 755,
800, or 1064. PALOMAR ICON puts out all three ranges with each pulse where a
laser or diode only gives you one wave length range with each pulse.
Further, we find the PALOMAR ICON to be much more comfortable because of
Advanced Contact Cooling with each pulse. The PALOMAR ICON is also
advertised as one of the most powerful systems in the world by Palomar
Medical.
Over and over we have patients that come
from other clinics in town and out of town that had used other laser
hair systems and when they return back for their next follow-up visit
they tell us how much more hair reduction they get from the PALOMAR ICON AESTHETIC SYSTEM that we use and also they tell us how much more comfortable it
is than the laser systems they had used at other clinics.

Even
doing a couple treatments results in significant hair reduction and
decreases the coarseness of hair and will likely amaze you at it's
effectiveness. Our patients often report to us they can see great
reductions of hair even after two or three sessions of hair removal.

The
area must be shaved from 4 hours to 24 hours prior to treatment for
most all areas. Shaving and preparation of the area should be done at
home and is not part of the clinic pricing. The treatments kill the
hair under the skin at the hair follicle. Top hair just gets in the
way. For areas like the bikini, shape it with shaving the way you want
it to look.

OTHER:
Excessive sun or tanning can effect the treatment, and can result in
need for more treatment sessions. It is best not to tan an area being
treated for hair removal.
All pricing is by the "anatomical area". For example, "leg" is the
knee to the ankle zone, not the thigh. Pricing is based on an "average
size man or woman", so someone "tall or large" (creating an expanded
surface area for the IPL/lasers to treat beyond average size for pulses
and time could cost more), this can be discussed at the time of
consult. FDA approved systems are considered permanent hair reduction. One
must remember that these systems work best on dark and coarser hair.
That blond, gray, and thin hair may not respond. One also must
remember that hormones can effect hair growth and the hair follicles.
Our
pricing is very fair, paid per session, with no high pressure package
session sales (avoid the gimmicks of package sales and warranties, you
will pay way too much, even though these clinics try to act like they
are heavily discounting, you are being gouged). Also, it has become popular to fall for the daily e-mail "deal of the day", these are often much lower quality systems giving you these "bargain rates" to get you in the door and facilities "starving for business".

All pricing can be subject to change at any time, and for any errors in
advertising methods used or on web sites, internal office pricing
supercedes. Hair reduction treatments vary among patients and clinics
because of the power or intensity of the pulse of the system, the
wavelengths that are used, whether it is lighter or darker pigmented
hair, thinner versus coarser hair, the persons skin type, or the amount
of internal hormone secretions that are bombarding the hair follicles,
and there may be other reasons as well.
